1. Introduction

PRZ Tax & Accounting is committed to providing professional taxation, accounting, bookkeeping, BAS, payroll, and business advisory services to our clients.

This Refund Policy outlines how refunds, cancellations, and service disputes are handled. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and any engagement agreement provided to you.

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

2. Professional Services

PRZ Tax & Accounting primarily provides professional services rather than physical products.

Due to the nature of professional services, significant time and expertise may be invested in reviewing records, preparing documentation, conducting research, providing advice, and communicating with clients before work is completed. As a result, refunds may not always be available once work has commenced.

3. Client Change of Mind

We do not generally provide refunds where:

  • You change your mind after engaging our services;
  • You decide not to proceed after work has commenced;
  • You choose not to provide requested information;
  • You fail to respond to communications within a reasonable timeframe;
  • You no longer require the service after work has started.

Any refund requests in these circumstances will be considered at our discretion.

4. Cancellation Before Work Commences

If you cancel a service before any work has commenced, you may be eligible for a full refund of any fees paid, less any transaction, administration, or processing costs incurred by PRZ Tax & Accounting.

Requests for cancellation should be made as soon as possible by contacting us via email.

5. Cancellation After Work Has Commenced

If work has already commenced, PRZ Tax & Accounting may retain fees that reasonably reflect:

  • Time spent on the matter;
  • Professional services already provided;
  • Administration undertaken;
  • Documents prepared;
  • Research completed;
  • Advice provided;
  • Lodgements submitted on your behalf.

Where applicable, any remaining balance may be refunded at our discretion.

6. Tax Return and Accounting Services

Refunds are generally not available where:

  • Tax returns have been prepared or lodged;
  • BAS statements have been prepared or lodged;
  • Accounting work has been completed;
  • Bookkeeping services have been performed;
  • Payroll services have been processed;
  • Advice has been provided;
  • Financial statements have been prepared;
  • Work has been completed according to agreed instructions.

Clients remain responsible for reviewing information before authorising lodgements and submissions.

7. Errors or Service Issues

If you believe a service has been performed incorrectly or does not meet agreed requirements, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where appropriate, PRZ Tax & Accounting may:

  • Correct the issue at no additional cost;
  • Re-perform the relevant service;
  • Provide a partial refund;
  • Provide a full refund where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Each matter will be assessed individually.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes rights available under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and Australian Consumer Law.

If a service has a major failure under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to remedies including:

  • A refund;
  • Re-supply of services;
  • Compensation where required by law.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Refund Requests

Refund requests should include:

  • Your full name;
  • Contact details;
  • Invoice number (if applicable);
  • Description of the service;
  • Reason for requesting a refund;
  • Supporting documentation where relevant.

Requests can be submitted to:

Email: admin@prztax.com.au

10. Processing Refunds

Where a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will generally be processed within 10 business days;
  • Refunds will usually be made using the original payment method where possible;
  • Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

11. Outstanding Fees

Any approved refund may be reduced by:

  • Outstanding invoices;
  • Unpaid fees;
  • Costs already incurred in delivering services;
  • Third-party costs paid on your behalf.

12. Changes to This Policy

PRZ Tax & Accounting may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website and becomes effective upon publication.
